Midwest and the 39th most populous city in the United States.
Kansas City received its nickname "The City of Fountains" because
the city has more fountains than any other city in the world with the exception
of Rome Italy.
Also known as the BBQ Capital of the World, Kansas City is most famous for its
Kansas City strip steak and barbecue.
Swope Park is one of the nation's largest in-city parks, comprising 1,763 acres
and is compared to New York's Central Park. It includes the Kansas City Zoo, a lake, an amphitheatre,
two golf courses, a day-camp area, and numerous
picnic grounds.
In nearby Independence, The Harry S. Truman Library &
Museum is now 50 years old and every year, thousands of visitors come to Kansas
City to visit places such as this. While you are in the area, take a tour
through his home nearby. Arrangements can be made at the library.
In North Kansas City, you will find the gambling casinos and
other entertainment available. Whether you want to visit the museums, parks,
sports events, or casinos, there is something for you and the entire family. You
will want to come back for a visit as often as you can.
